Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and result-oriented Area Sales Officer to drive sales growth and strengthen market presence in the assigned territory. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in General Trade, Channel Sales, Distribution Management, and Field Sales, with a strong ability to build distributor networks and maintain customer relationships. Key Responsibilities - Achieve primary and secondary sales targets for the assigned territory. - Manage and develop distributor networks to ensure efficient product availability and market coverage. - Appoint, train, and monitor distributors and retailers to drive business growth. - Execute sales plans and promotional activities to increase product visibility and market share. - Conduct regular market visits to identify business opportunities, monitor competitor activities, and gather market intelligence. - Ensure effective route planning, beat management, and productivity of field sales operations. - Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, retailers, and key trade partners. - Monitor stock availability, order fulfillment, collections, and inventory at distributor points. - Ensure implementation of trade schemes, merchandising standards, and brand visibility initiatives. - Prepare periodic sales reports, forecasts, and market analysis for management review. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of business objectives. - Ensure compliance with company policies, sales processes, and operational guidelines. Preferred Candidate Profile - Bachelor's degree in any discipline; MBA in Sales/Marketing is preferred. - 26 years of experience in General Trade, Channel Sales, Distribution Sales, or Field Sales, preferably in FMCG/Foods & Beverages/Consumer Goods. - Strong understanding of distributor management, retail sales, and territory development. - Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills. - Proficient in MS Office and sales reporting tools. - Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
