To be successful as a Service Engineer - Mainframe, you should have experience with: Strong, proven experience in Mainframe Application Design, Development, Support, and technical leadership. Deep expertise in core mainframe technologies, including COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, CICS, TWS (scheduling) Strong understanding of mainframe engineering, including debugging, live system support and change management tooling (e.g., Endeavor, Abend-Aid, File-Aid, DB2 Platinum) Basic knowledge of Windows server, Unix Commands Analytical ability including root cause identification and pro-active service improvement Proactive identification of possible major incidents. Purpose of the role To effectively monitor and maintain the banks critical technology infrastructure and resolve more complex technical issues, whilst minimising disruption to operations. Accountabilities Provision of technical support for the service management function to resolve more complex issues for a specific client of group of clients.
