Role Description The Area Retail Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Patna, responsible for overseeing multiple retail outlets within the assigned geography. This role includes monitoring daily store operations, ensuring adherence to company standards, and driving sales and profitability targets. The Area Retail Manager leads and supports store managers, sets clear performance expectations, coaches teams, and coordinates staffing and scheduling to maintain optimal coverage. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing store performance reports, managing inventory levels, ensuring visual merchandising and pricing accuracy, and implementing promotional activities. The role also involves conducting regular store visits, auditing compliance with policies, addressing customer issues escalated from stores, and collaborating with senior leadership on improvement plans and expansion initiatives. Qualifications Demonstrated experience in multi-store retail management or supervisory roles within retail or FMCG environments. Strong skills in store operations, including inventory control, merchandising, and cash management. Ability to analyze sales data, track KPIs, and use insights to improve performance and profitability. Proven people leadership capabilities, including team coaching, performance management, and conflict resolution. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with store teams, customers, and senior management. Solid organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple locations and priorities simultaneously. Comfort with basic digital tools and POS systems; familiarity with retail management software is an advantage. Bachelors degree in Business, Retail Management, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
