Job Description Experience: 10 - 15 Yrs Location: Bangalore Position Name: Hardware Lead VCU & Cluster Systems (EV Platform) Key Responsibilities 1. System Architecture & Platform Definition Define and own hardware architecture for: MCU-based control systemsSOM-based compute platforms with modem and application processors Drive system-level decisions on: Compute partitioning and peripheral allocationPower architecture and domain separation Ensure designs are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with product roadmap 2. Communication Interfaces & System Integration Design and implement robust, high-reliability communication frameworks between distributed vehicle subsystems Evaluate interface technologies based on: Bandwidth, latency, determinism, and reliability requirements Architect communication to support: High-speed data transferLow-speed control and diagnosticsRedundancy and fallback mechanisms Ensure reliable operation under electrical noise, EMI/EMC constraints, and real-world disturbances 3. Hardware Design & Development Lead schematic design and multi-layer PCB development for mixed-signal and high-speed systems Enforce strong design practices around: Signal integrity, power integrity, and groundingLayout discipline for high-speed and noise-sensitive circuits Conduct rigorous design and layout reviews 4. Component Selection & Platform Optimization Own selection of: Microcontrollers for control systemsSOM modules for compute platformsMemory (DDR, eMMC, Flash) and key peripheralsPower components (DC-DC, LDOs, protection devices) Balance performance, BOM cost, and long-term availability Drive multi-source strategies to mitigate supply chain risks 5. Cost, Sourcing & Manufacturability Drive BOM cost optimization while maintaining product quality Ensure component lifecycle alignment and sourcing resilience Design for: DFM / DFA / DFTEfficient manufacturing and test coverage Collaborate with EMS partners for production readiness 6. EMI/EMC & Compliance Own strategies to achieve first-pass or near first-pass EMI/EMC compliance Implement best practices in: Grounding, filtering, and shielding Drive pre-compliance validation and certification readines .
