Information Technology Architect

Role Description This is a full-time remote role for an Information Technology Architect. The IT Architect will design and maintain the companys overall technology architecture, ensuring systems are scalable, secure, and aligned with business and regulatory requirements in the financial services sector. Day-to-day responsibilities include evaluating and selecting technology solutions, creating architectural diagrams and documentation, and guiding implementation of infrastructure, applications, and integrations. The role also involves collaborating with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical designs, overseeing system performance and reliability, and providing technical leadership to development, operations, and security teams. The IT Architect will participate in continuous improvement initiatives, risk assessments, and technology roadmapping to support Firmus Financial Services Ltds strategic objectives. Qualifications Strong background in IT architecture, including enterprise, application, and infrastructure design. Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and hybrid environments. Knowledge of networking, security frameworks, and data protection best practices, especially in financial services. Ability to create clear architectural documentation, diagrams, and technical standards. Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and translating business requirements into technical solutions. Familiarity with integration patterns, APIs, microservices, and service-oriented architectures. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make informed decisions in complex technical environments. Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience considered. Prior experience in an architect or senior technical role within financial services or another highly regulated industry is beneficial. .
