Role Overview - The Finance & Accounts Specialist will anchor the financial operations of executive education programmes under Educational Outreach, IIT Bombay. The role requires hands-on ownership of accounting, compliance, and financial reporting, along with close coordination with programme teams, participants, and institute finance function s. Key Responsibiliti es: Financial Manage - ment Manage end-to-end financial operations across executive education progra - mmes Monitor budgets, revenues, and expenditures at a programme l - evel Track fee collections, refunds, and outstanding receiva - bles Prepare programme-wise financial summaries and statem - ents Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, and applicable statutory n - orms Support internal and external au - dits Maintain proper documentation for compliance and audit readi ness Accounting & Bookke - eping Maintain accurate books of accounts for all programme transac - tions Process invoices, receipts, and journal en - tries Ensure correct allocation of revenues and - costs Conduct regular bank and ledger reconcilia tions Billing & Financial Rep - orting Raise invoices and coordinate with participants/corporates for colle - ctions Track outstanding payments and ensure timely foll - ow-ups Maintain participant-level financial r - ecords Prepare periodic MIS and financial reports for mana - gement Provide insights into programme financial perfo - rmance Support budgeting and forecasting pro cesses Eligibility C riteriaB. Com / Bachelors degree in Accounting / Finance with minimum 8 years of relevant experi ence ORMBA (Finance) / M. Com / CA (Inter) / CMA (Inter) with minimum 5 years of relevant exp erience Preferred Qualif icationsCA / CMA (fully qu alified)Experience in programme finance, project accounting, within the educatio n sector Ple ase note: This is a Mumbai-based on-campus role.
