Experience: 13 Years Employment Type: Full-Time About the Role.- We are looking for a motivated IoT Engineer to join our technical team and work on the development of IoT-enabled electrical testing and monitoring solutions. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with microcontroller programming, ESP32, IoT communication, and cloud/dashboard platforms such as ThingsBoard . Knowledge of PCB design and power electronics will be an added advantage. Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and program embedded systems using ESP32 and other microcontrollers . Develop firmware for sensors, measurement systems, data acquisition, and IoT devices. Establish communication using protocols such as MQTT, Modbus, UART, SPI, IC, RS-485 , etc. Integrate IoT devices with ThingsBoard or similar IoT platforms . Configure dashboards for real-time monitoring, data visualization, alarms, and device status. Work with sensors and electrical measurement devices for data acquisition. Debug and troubleshoot hardware, firmware, communication, and connectivity issues. Assist in development and testing of IoT prototypes and field-deployed systems. Perform basic PCB design and schematic development . Interface microcontrollers with analog/digital circuits and external hardware. Work with the engineering team to develop reliable and commercially deployable products. Prepare basic technical documentation, firmware documentation, and test reports. Required SkillsBachelor's degree/diploma in Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation, Embedded Systems, Computer Engineering , or a related field. Hands-on programming experience with ESP32 / Arduino / STM32 / similar microcontrollers . Good understanding of Embedded C/C++ . Experience with IoT communication protocols, particularly MQTT . Familiarity with ThingsBoard or similar IoT/cloud platforms. Understanding of serial communication protocols such as UART, RS-485, SPI and IC . Basic knowledge of sensors, ADCs, GPIOs, and data acquisition. Basic understanding of schematic and PCB design . Additional Skills AdvantageKnowledge of Power Electronics and power supply circuits. Experience with KiCad, Altium, Eagle , or similar PCB design tools. Knowledge of Modbus RTU/TCP . Experience with Wi-Fi, BLE, Ethernet, GSM/4G or other wireless communication technologies. Experience with REST APIs and cloud integration. Experience with Git/GitHub or other version-control systems. Experience in developing products for industrial monitoring, electrical testing, energy management, or condition monitoring . If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.
Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.
Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.
When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one. Name the tools, the deadline pressure, and what you learned. Hiring managers listen for whether you see problem-solving as part of the role itself, not a favour.
