Internship ASDE (Full Stack) 6-Month Paid Internship 100% Remote We're hiring an Intern ASDE to join us for a 6-month, paid, fully remote internship. This role sits within our Custom Automation team, where we build integrations and automated workflows that connect business systems and remove manual work. This internship is suited for someone early in their career a student, recent graduate, or self-taught builder who is passionate about technology, ambitious enough to want more than a typical internship handout, and curious enough to dig into how real production systems work. You'll work backend-heavy with Node.js and TypeScript, get hands-on with AWS and cloud automation, and collaborate with engineers and business stakeholders on integrations that actually ship. What You'll Gain Real ownership, with a safety net you'll drive small integration and automation tasks end-to-end, with a senior engineer mentoring you along the way.Production exposure hands-on work with Node.js/TypeScript backend services, AWS (Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, API Gateway), and Infrastructure as Code. Cross-functional exposure direct collaboration with engineers, product, and business teams on requirements that come from real operational problems.A foundation for a career, not just a resume line strong performers will be considered for a full-time offer at the end of the internship. What You'll Work On Help build and maintain integrations between internal and third-party business systems (CRM, ERP, support/ticketing tools, payment or communication platforms) using REST APIs and webhooks. Support development of backend automation workflows in Node.js and TypeScript that remove manual, repetitive business processes. Take small features from requirements through design, implementation, testing, and deployment, under guidance.Help spot breakages or inefficiencies in existing integrations and propose fixes.Get hands-on with AWS services (Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, API Gateway) used to run automation logic.Assist with basic Infrastructure as Code tasks (Terraform, CDK, or similar) under mentorship.Sit in on code reviews give and receive feedback as you learn team standards.Work with business/product stakeholders to turn real operational requirements into technical solutions.Document integration logic and automation flows so others can maintain what you build. What We're Looking For 06 months of professional or hands-on experience in software development (internships, freelance work, or serious personal/academic projects count).Recently completed a degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field or equivalent self-taught/project experience.Working knowledge of TypeScript.Basic understanding of Node.js and how backend services work.Familiarity with AWS (e.g., Lambda, S3, API Gateway, DynamoDB) coursework, personal projects, or tutorial-level exposure counts.Understanding of what REST APIs are and how to consume/test them (e.g., with Postman).Familiarity with Git and basic collaborative workflows (branches, pull requests).Basic exposure to React or frontend concepts coursework, tutorials, or personal projects count.Comfortable learning new tools independently and not afraid to ask questions when stuck. Nice to Have Personal, academic, or freelance projects involving automation, integrations, or APIs.Exposure to other cloud platforms (GCP, Azure) beyond AWS.Familiarity with automation/integration tools such as Zapier, n8n, Make, or similar.Basic exposure to Infrastructure as Code concepts (CloudFormation, CDK). Personal Traits We Value Passionate genuinely excited about building things and solving real business problems with code, not just checking off tasks.Ambitious wants to grow fast, takes on more than the bare minimum, and is motivated by impact.Curious to Learn regularly explores new tools, asks "why," and digs past the surface-level answer.Patience can sit with a tricky integration bug or ambiguous requirement without rushing to a shortcut fix.Multitasker able to juggle several small integration tasks or tickets at once without losing track or quality. Internship Details Duration: 6 months, paid.Location: 100% remote permanently remote for the full duration, no office relocation required.Compensation: paid monthly stipend (details shared during the hiring process).Mentorship: paired with a senior engineer on the Business Integration & Custom Automation team throughout the internship. .
