Job Summary Maintain and support internet-based enterprise level supply chain applications. Essential Functions Work either independently or with a group of highly skilled, high intellect engineers to resolve customer and product issues. Communicate with Network Operations to identify and solve software issues. Communicate current status of issues to the manager as necessary, based on severity and impact of the issue on the business. Interact with client services, professional services, and other groups for troubleshooting efforts. Be proactive and inquisitive with a clear focus on problem solving. Must have flexibility with work hours and be able to provide on-demand support as required. Must be ready to be On Call 24X7 on a rotational basis. Document findings, including new defects in products and work with the Production Support team to create knowledgebase articles. 70% Support and 30% Development. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.
Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully.
