Network LAN Engineer DDI (BlueCat), Cisco Catalyst Center & Cisco SD-WAN (Viptela) Contract Delhi/Hyderabad Key Responsibilities Design, deploy, configure, and support enterprise LAN infrastructure using Cisco switching technologies. Administer and maintain BlueCat DDI (DNS, DHCP, and IP Address Management) solutions. Manage and optimize Cisco Catalyst Center for network automation, assurance, policy management, and provisioning. Configure, deploy, and troubleshoot Cisco SD-WAN (Viptela) components, including vManage, vBond, vSmart, and WAN Edge routers. Perform network monitoring, health checks, capacity planning, and performance tuning. Configure and troubleshoot VLANs, STP, EtherChannel, HSRP/VRRP, routing protocols, and QoS. Implement network segmentation, policy enforcement, and access control. Monitor and resolve DNS, DHCP, and IPAM-related issues while ensuring service availability. Collaborate with security, cloud, and infrastructure teams for network integration and optimization. Support network upgrades, migrations, maintenance activities, and change implementations. Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for major incidents and implement preventive measures. Maintain network documentation, topology diagrams, and operational procedures. Ensure compliance with ITIL processes for Incident, Change, Problem, and Configuration Management. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.
Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully.
