About the team: 'Edge Computer Team' is a global team of Systems Engineers and Software Engineers who work collaboratively across the globe from US and India supporting the 24/7 Compurte Engineering Operations and Software Development needs primarily for the Walmart Stores and Distribution Centers in the US as well as international sites. The selected candidate will be joining the India team working from Bangalore. What Youll Do: You will design, support, and optimize complex distributed systems composed of multiple applications and services. When issues arise, you will troubleshoot and resolve them quickly while continuously improving system performance through innovation and creative thinking. This role offers the opportunity to thrive in a fast paced, evolving environment while helping build next-generation solutions that impact millions of users. What Youll bring: At least 3 years of experience designing, implementing, and automating distributed system solutions. Extensive hands-on MS Windows administration experience in an enterprise production environment. Proven advanced experience in virtualization/hypervisors (VMware, Nutanix, etc.) Working experience on Linux OS platforms and Networking Intermediate programming/scripting experience (Bash/Powershell, Python/Golang/Java) Proven experience in automating processes Expertise in configuration management tools (Puppet, Ansible) Proficiency in GIT or a similar version control system Excellent written and oral communication skills Strong problem-solving, analytic, and decision-making skills Hands-on experience with Kubernetes administration and containers (Docker, etc) In-depth server hardware knowledge (Lenovo, Dell, HP, IBM) Experience with CI/CD pipelines Familiarity with ServiceNow & Jira ticketing system.
