Key Responsibilities : Kubernetes & Container Platform : - Deploy, configure, and manage applications on Kubernetes clusters. - Develop and maintain Helm Charts for Kubernetes deployments. - Manage containerised workloads using Docker and Kubernetes best practices. - Monitor cluster health, performance, resource utilisation, and application availability. - Configure Kubernetes networking components, including Ingress Controllers, Services, ConfigMaps, Secrets, and Persistent Volumes. Cloud-Native Development & API Integration : - Design and implement integrations with cloud-native services and REST APIs. - Develop automation tools and platform services using Go (Golang), Python, and Shell scripting. - Build and maintain scalable microservices deployment workflows. - Integrate authentication, storage, messaging, and monitoring services within cloud-native environments. Automation & Platform Engineering : - Develop automation scripts and operational tools to improve engineering productivity. - Automate infrastructure provisioning and deployment workflows using Infrastructure-as-Code principles. - Standardise deployment processes across development, QA, staging, and production environments. - Improve platform reliability through automation, monitoring, and continuous optimisation. Monitoring, Security & Reliability : - Implement centralised logging, monitoring, and alerting for applications and infrastructure. - Ensure secure deployment practices, including certificate, secret, and access management. - Perform root cause analysis for production issues and implement preventive measures. - Optimise system performance, scalability, and high availability. CI/CD & Release Engineering : - Exposure to CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or equivalent. - Interest in automating build, test, packaging, and deployment workflows. - Understanding of deployment strategies such as rolling updates, blue-green deployments, and canary releases. - Willingness to contribute to release engineering and DevOps automation initiatives. Required Technical Skills : - Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes administration and application deployment. - Strong programming skills in Go (Golang), Python, and Shell scripting. - Hands-on experience with Docker and container orchestration. - Experience in cloud-native application development and REST API integration. - Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills. - Good understanding of Git workflows and version control. - Solid knowledge of networking concepts including DNS, TLS/SSL, Load Balancers, and Ingress. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully.
