NOTICE: Immediate or less than 30 Days Position: Software Engineer Design Systems Experience: 5+ Years Location: Bangalore (WFO) Key Technologies Python, OOP, Data Structures, Algorithms, Unix/Linux, UML, XML, HDL Models, EDA Tools, VLSI, Design Patterns Job Summary We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer Design Systems to develop software tools that automate design processes and improve engineering productivity. The ideal candidate will model design problems in software, create UML models for design data, and generate code from them. The role requires strong Python programming skills, expertise in object-oriented programming, data structures and algorithms, and the ability to work closely with design engineers to build scalable automation solutions for the EDA domain. Key Responsibilities Develop software tools to automate design processes. Model design problems in software and provide automation solutions. Create UML models for design data and generate code from them. Design data structures to store design data and populate them using formalized data sources such as XML and HDL models. Develop maintainable and scalable Python applications using efficient data structures, algorithms, and design patterns. Understand the EDA domain and contribute to automation methodologies. Collaborate with design engineers to automate workflows and accelerate implementation. Generalize software implementations using modern software engineering concepts. Define software architecture, coding standards, QA strategies, and documentation plans. Support continuous improvement of design automation infrastructure. Required Qualifications B.E./B.Tech./M.Tech in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline. Background in VLSI/EDA is preferred. Experience Required Minimum 5+ years of hands-on Python development experience (Mandatory). Experience in designing and developing software or EDA tools and flows. Strong hands-on experience with Object-Oriented Programming (OOP). Strong understanding of Data Structures and Algorithms. Experience working on Unix/Linux platforms. Understanding of UML modeling language is preferred. Desired Competencies Ability to quickly understand EDA methodologies and the overall design ecosystem. Understanding of the EDA/VLSI domain is an added advantage. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to understand requirements and rapidly develop practical solutions. Excellent communication, reporting, and presentation skills. Good understanding of internal interfaces and cross-functional collaboration. Strong team player with experience working in globally distributed teams. Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt quickly. .
