Part-Time Finance & Accounts Executive Employment Type: Part-time flexible, hours-based or fixed days per week Location: [On-site / Hybrid / Remote] Working Schedule: To be mutually agreed About the Opportunity We are looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Finance & Accounts Executive to manage our day-to-day accounting, statutory compliance and management reporting requirements. This is a flexible part-time opportunity suited to an experienced finance professional seeking meaningful responsibility without committing to a full-time role. The person will work closely with management and play an important role in maintaining accurate financial records and providing timely business insights. Key ResponsibilitiesAccounting and Bookkeeping Maintain accurate and up-to-date books of accounts. Record daily receipts, payments, purchases, expenses and journal entries. Perform regular bank, customer, vendor and ledger reconciliations. Review accounting records and promptly resolve discrepancies. Maintain proper supporting documents and an organised audit trail. Invoicing and Receivables Raise and issue customer invoices accurately and on time. Maintain customer-wise accounts receivable records. Track outstanding invoices and follow up for collections. Prepare periodic sales, collections and receivables ageing reports. Highlight delayed collections and other concerns to management. Statutory Compliance Prepare workings and reports for TDS, GST, Provident Fund and other applicable statutory obligations. Ensure statutory payments and returns are completed within the prescribed deadlines. Maintain challans, returns, reconciliations and supporting compliance records. Coordinate with external consultants, where required. Maintain a compliance calendar and proactively remind management of upcoming deadlines. Management Reporting Complete the monthly closing of accounts within agreed timelines. Prepare monthly management reports, including: Profit and Loss Statement Balance Sheet Cash-flow position Sales performance Collections and outstanding receivables Key expenses and budget variances Other business performance reports requested by management Explain significant movements, unusual transactions and areas requiring management attention. Support management with reliable financial information for decision-making. Candidate Profile Bachelors or masters degree in Commerce, Accounting or Finance. CA Inter, CMA Inter or similar professional qualification would be an advantage. At least 35 years of practical accounting and compliance experience. Working knowledge of TDS, GST, PF and other Indian statutory requirements. Proficiency in accounting software such as Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks or similar platforms. Strong Microsoft Excel and reporting skills. Good written and verbal communication skills. High level of accuracy, ownership, confidentiality and professional integrity. Ability to work independently and complete tasks within deadlines. Who Would Be a Good Fit This role would be ideal for someone who: Enjoys taking complete ownership of the finance function.
