## Radiology Coding Specialist ### Role Overview Starworth Global Solutions is seeking a skilled Radiology Coding Specialist to join their Mumbai-based team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately assigning medical codes to radiology procedures, ensuring compliance with coding standards and guidelines. This role requires a solid understanding of radiology terminology, imaging modalities, and medical billing processes to support efficient revenue cycle management. ### Key Responsibilities - Review and analyze radiology reports, physician notes, and diagnostic imaging records to assign accurate ICD, CPT, and HCPCS codes - Ensure compliance with coding guidelines including CMS, AHA, and AMA standards for radiology procedures - Identify and resolve coding discrepancies, denials, and queries in a timely manner - Collaborate with billing teams to ensure clean claim submissions and minimize rejections - Stay updated with the latest changes in radiology coding guidelines and payer-specific requirements - Conduct quality audits on coded records to maintain accuracy and compliance - Communicate with radiologists and clinical staff to clarify documentation when needed - Maintain productivity and quality benchmarks as defined by the organization ### Requirements / Qualifications - Bachelor's degree or diploma in Medical Records, Health Information Management, or a related healthcare field - Certified Professional Coder (CPC), CRC, or equivalent medical coding certification preferred - Hands-on experience in radiology coding including CT, MRI, X-Ray, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, and Interventional Radiology - Proficiency in ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS Level II coding systems - Familiarity with US healthcare billing and reimbursement processes - Experience working with medical billing software and Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems - Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and high coding accuracy - Good written and verbal communication skills - Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment ### About the Company Starworth Global Solutions is a healthcare business process outsourcing company specializing in medical coding, billing, and revenue cycle management services.
