Role Summary The DevOps Engineer (Mid-Level) plays a hands-on role in building and operating SCIA's automation platform. This role owns discrete automation capabilities end-to-end, contributing production-quality Infrastructure-as-Code, pipelines, and operational tooling that improve security posture, reliability, and cost efficiency across Azure environments. Primary Responsibilities - Design, enhance, and maintain Azure Infrastructure-as-Code using ARM modules and examples - Build and operate CI/CD pipelines in Jenkins and GitHub used to validate, package, and release SCIA automation - Develop operational automation supporting patching, scaling, diagnostics enforcement, cost optimization, and policy compliance - Lead technical onboarding engagements with application teams and resolve deployment or configuration issues - Participate in PI planning, backlog refinement, and change-managed release activities - Perform code reviews and provide technical guidance to junior engineers Required Qualifications - 3+ years of professional experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, or infrastructure automation roles - Hands-on experience deploying and operating workloads in Microsoft Azure - Solid automation and scripting skills using Python, PowerShell, or Bash - 2-5 years of hands-on experience with JavaScript and/or TypeScript for automation, tooling, or CI/CD pipeline development - Experience working in enterprise environments with formal change management and release controls Expected Impact Within the first 6-12 months, this role will own key automation components, reduce friction for onboarding teams, and contribute measurable improvements to platform reliability, security, and Azure cost efficiency.
