We are seeking a skilled BI Engineer with strong expertise in Business Intelligence, ETL development, data modelling, and reporting solutions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and developing scalable reporting data models, building interactive dashboards, and ensuring high-quality, accurate reporting solutions. The role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into insightful analytics and reporting. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain reporting data models, semantic layers, and curated datasets forenterprise reporting. Develop, optimize, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines to extract, transform, and load data frommultiple source systems. Build interactive dashboards and reports using BI tools such as Power BI, Qlik Sense/QlikView,IBM Cognos, Tableau, or similar platforms. Develop complex SQL queries, views, stored procedures, and aggregation logic for reporting andanalytics. Design and implement dimensional data models, including star and snowflake schemas.Validate and reconcile reporting data against source systems to ensure data accuracy andconsistency. Collaborate with business users to gather reporting requirements and deliver actionable insights.Optimize report performance and improve data processing efficiency.Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and resolve reporting or data discrepancies.Participate in code reviews, version control, and CI/CD deployment processes for BI solutions.Enhance existing dashboards and reports based on evolving business needs.Utilize AI-assisted tools to improve SQL development, ETL processes, and data modelingefficiency. Required Skills & Experience 47 years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Engineering, or Analytics.Strong hands-on experience in ETL development using tools such as SSIS, Azure Data Factory(ADF), Informatica, Talend, or similar ETL platforms. Strong SQL expertise, including complex query development, performance tuning, storedprocedures, views, and data optimization. Experience designing reporting semantic layers and enterprise reporting data models.Hands-on experience with Power BI, Qlik Sense/QlikView, IBM Cognos Analytics, Tableau, orother enterprise BI tools. Strong understanding of dimensional modelling concepts, including fact tables, dimensiontables, star schemas, and snowflake schemas. Experience working with Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse Analytics, SQL Server, or otherrelational databases. Experience validating and reconciling reporting data with source systems.Familiarity with version control systems and CI/CD pipelines.Experience using AI tools to support SQL development, ETL design, and reporting optimization.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Preferred Skills Experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Microsoft Fabric, or other cloud-based data platforms. Knowledge of data warehousing concepts, Lakehouse architecture, and Medallion Architecture(Bronze, Silver, Gold). Experience with Azure DevOps, Git, or similar source control tools.Understanding of data governance, data quality, and metadata management.Experience working with ERP or enterprise business applications.Exposure to financial, operational, or enterprise reporting environmentsWork Location: In person .

Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.
Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.
When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one. Name the tools, the deadline pressure, and what you learned. Hiring managers listen for whether you see problem-solving as part of the role itself, not a favour.
