Job Title: Marketing / Sales & Business Development Manager Reporting To: Managing Director / Technical Director 1. Enquiry Generation & Client Relationship Proactive Engagement: Generate new enquiries by regularly sending introduction emails, initiating discussions about specific client pain points, exploring new development opportunities, and maintaining a strong personal touch. Regular Visits: Visit customers personally whenever required to strengthen relationships, address technical requirements, or offer solutions. Customer Retention: Maintain regular "welfare contacts" with accounts during periods without active orders to ensure continuous engagement. Market Updates: Regularly inform customers about internal organizational improvements, technical developments, or institutional changes. Management Reporting: Promptly update management regarding changes at the customer's end, their new developments, or newly awarded projects. 2. Enquiry & Quotation Management Coordination: Liaison consistently with the internal Coordinator to align on and meet delivery commitments. Clarifications: Proactively seek and send any necessary technical or commercial clarifications without delay. Quotation Turnaround Times: Urgent/Smaller Enquiries: Submit within 2 hours of receipt. Standard Enquiries ( 15 items): Submit within 48 hours . Inter-departmental Handover: Ensure customer requirements are immediately handed over to the Costing Division upon receipt. Coordinate to ensure third-party supplier costs are obtained within 72 hours of the enquiry. 3. Sales Conversion & Order Processing Target Conversion: Strive to convert 100% of offers into orders, maintaining a strict minimum conversion rate of 60% . Negotiation: Lead, discuss, and successfully close contract negotiations. Contract Review: Conduct thorough commercial and technical contract reviews prior to order acceptance. New Client Onboarding: Follow the standard company procedure whenever a new customer is added to the portfolio. Order Execution: Issue internal Work Orders clearly detailing all customer requirements and technical specifications. Ensure order acknowledgments are promptly sent to the customer. 4. Dispatch, Documentation & Collection Operational Fulfillment: Ensure all customer commitments are rigorously met across all stages of fulfillment. Dispatch Logistics: Secure necessary road permits and mandatory transit documentation on time to prevent logistics delays. Document Transmittal: Ensure a complete set of dispatch documents is sent to the customer immediately upon shipping. Financial Closure: Track and ensure customer payments are received on time. Collect 'C' Forms (statutory tax forms) within the stipulated timelines. 5. Quality, Compliance & People Management Customer Feedback: Collect customer satisfaction data and handle complaints for every order where possible, or at a strict minimum of once per year . Team Development: Train and upskill reporting personnel to ensure job suitability and elevate their marketing/sales capabilities. Systems Compliance: Responsible for implementing, practicing, and maintaining Integrated Management System (IMS) .
