An Operation Theater Technician is responsible for preparing and maintaining the operating theater, assisting surgical teams during procedures, and ensuring patient safety through strict adherence to sterilization and infection control protocols. Key Responsibilities Preparation and Maintenance of Operating Theater : Set up, check, and adjust surgical equipment, arrange instruments and supplies, and ensure the operating room is sterile and ready for surgery. Assisting Surgical Teams: Support surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nurses during operations by providing instruments, handling equipment, and monitoring patient positioning to prevent pressure ulcers or nerve injuries. Infection Control and Sterilization: Clean and disinfect surgical instruments and equipment, maintain aseptic conditions, and follow protocols to prevent post-operative infections. Patient Care Support: Help transport patients, position them on the operating table, and assist in post-operative care as needed. Emergency Preparedness: Ensure the operation theater is ready for emergencies and respond promptly to unexpected situations during surgeries, such as equipment malfunctions or patient reactions.
