For the L2 Support Engineer role, we expect candidates to possess the following competencies: - Good verbal and written communication skills. - Strong knowledge of SQL, including writing basic to intermediate queries (SELECT, JOIN, GROUP BY, Subqueries, UPDATE, DELETE, etc.). - Good troubleshooting and analytical skills to identify, isolate, and resolve application issues. - Understanding of application support processes, including Incident, Problem, and Change Management. - Basic knowledge of Windows/Linux operating systems. - Ability to analyse application logs and database errors. - Basic understanding of web servers (IIS/Apache/Tomcat) and application architecture. - Knowledge of APIs, REST services, and related troubleshooting tools will be an added advantage. - Experience in production support and SLA-based incident handling. - Ability to handle critical production incidents with confidence and ensure timely resolution. - Solid sense of ownership candidates should take end-to-end responsibility for issues assigned to them, coordinate with internal teams as well as external vendors wherever required, perform continuous follow-ups, and drive the issue to closure rather than only forwarding or escalating it. - Ability to provide regular updates to stakeholders and ensure effective communication until the issue is fully resolved.
