Job Overview We are looking for a skilled Senior Laravel Developer with 35 years of experience to build, maintain, and enhance scalable web applications. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Laravel, API development, and database optimization, along with hands-on experience in advanced concepts such as Eloquent ORM, Repository Pattern, event-driven architecture, queues, jobs, and task scheduling. The candidate must be capable of quickly understanding and adapting to existing codebases, improving legacy systems, and delivering clean, maintainable, and high-performance backend solutions in a production setting. Roles and Responsibilities - Develop, maintain, and scale backend applications using Laravel framework - Understand, analyze, and enhance existing applications/legacy codebases - Design and implement secure, scalable RESTful APIs - Work with Eloquent ORM for complex queries and performance optimization - Optimize database performance (indexing, query tuning, schema design) - Implement Repository Pattern / Service Layer architecture - Build event-driven systems using Laravel Events & Listeners - Develop and manage background jobs using Laravel Queues (retry, failure handling) - Configure scheduled tasks using Laravel Scheduler (Cron Jobs) - Integrate third-party APIs, webhooks, and async workflows - Implement caching strategies (Redis / file / DB) - Debug and resolve issues in development and production environments - Refactor and improve existing code quality - Collaborate with frontend teams for API integration - Follow best practices and use Git effectively - Take ownership of modules and ensure timely delivery Requirements - Strong expertise in Core PHP and Laravel (4+ years experience) - Deep understanding of MVC architecture and OOP principles - Advanced knowledge of MySQL / Query optimization / Indexing - Experience in REST API architecture & integration - Hands-on experience with Laravel Queues, Jobs, Caching, Events - Experience with Authentication (JWT, OAuth, Sanctum, Passport) - Strong knowledge of Git & version control workflows - Understanding of microservices architecture (preferred) - Experience with Vue.js / React or similar platforms - CI/CD pipeline setup and deployment automation - Docker knowledge - Payment gateway & third-party API integration - Unit testing and PHP Unit - Experience working in Agile/Scrum environment .
