We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Marketing Cloud QA Engineer with a proven track record in building and maintaining automated test suites for SFMC enhancements and integrations. In this role, you will focus on ensuring the quality and reliability of marketing automation workflows, data flows, and end-to-end processes across SFMC and downstream systems (including Salesforce CRM, external databases, and third-party applications). You will design, develop, and execute automated tests for complex scenariossuch as form submissions on Cloud Pages, data extension population, journey execution, email personalization, and API-driven integrationswhile minimizing manual effort and accelerating release cycles. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone passionate about automation, data integrity, and marketing technology quality. Key Responsibilities: - Develop, maintain, and enhance automated test suites using tools like Selenium, Playwright, or similar frameworks tailored for SFMC web/cloud interfaces and APIs. - Automate end-to-end testing scenarios, including: - Filling and submitting forms on SFMC CloudPages / landing pages. - Validating accurate data capture, transformation, and population in Data Extensions, Contact Builder, or synced Salesforce objects. - Verifying downstream data flow to integrated systems (e.g., Salesforce Sales/Service Cloud, external ERPs, or analytics platforms). - Testing Journey Builder triggers, Automation Studio workflows, email sends, AMPscript/SSJS logic, and personalization rules. - API testing for SFMC REST/SOAP endpoints, event notifications, and integrations. - Create robust regression test packs to ensure new enhancements do not break existing functionality during frequent SFMC updates or custom developments. - Collaborate with SFMC developers, architects, marketing stakeholders, and integration teams to understand requirements, define testable acceptance criteria, and identify automation opportunities. - Perform exploratory manual testing when needed (e.g., for new features or complex UI behaviors) and transition high-value scenarios to automation. - Monitor test execution results, analyze failures, log defects with clear reproduction steps, and work with developers for timely resolution. - Ensure test data management (creation, cleanup, and isolation) to support reliable, repeatable automated runs in sandbox and production-like environments. - Contribute to QA best practices, CI/CD pipeline integration, test reporting dashboards for visibility into quality metrics. - Stay updated on SFMC platform changes, recent features (e.g., Einstein-powered tools), and automation trends to continuously improve test coverage and stability. Required Qualifications & Skills: - 5+ years of hands-on QA experience, with at least 3+ years focused on Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) testing. - Strong expertise in test automation for web applications and marketing platforms; proven ability to build and maintain scalable automated suites. - Experience with automation tools such as: - Selenium WebDriver, Playwright with Cucumber/BDD with Gherkin for UI/CloudPages automation. - API testing tools (Postman, SoapUI). - Deep understanding of SFMC core modules: Email Studio, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Contact Builder, Data Extensions, CloudPages, MobileConnect/Push, and integrations with Salesforce CRM. - Proficiency in validating data flows, SQL queries for Data Extensions, AMPscript/SSJS basics, and troubleshooting integration issues. - Solid knowledge of QA methodologies (Agile/Scrum), test case design, defect management (Jira, Salesforce), and regression testing strategies. - Experience with CI/CD tools and version control (Git) for test script management. - Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams. Preferred Qualifications: - Salesforce Certified Marketing Cloud Developer, Consultant, or equivalent certification (or willingness to obtain). - Hands-on experience with AI-driven testing tools or low-code automation platforms. - Familiarity with SFMC APIs, Event-Driven architecture, and tools like Query Studio or Automation Studio for test validation. - Exposure to integrated environments (Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, or external systems like ERP/CRM). - Knowledge of performance/load testing for high-volume campaigns (a plus). .
