Job Description : Key Responsibilities : - Strong hands-on experience with Apache Kafka/ Confluent Platform and Confluent Cloud. - Proven experience in supporting developer teams in Kafka-based environments. - Solid understanding of Kafka architecture : topics, partitions, brokers, replication, and consumer groups. - Experience with Schema Registry and data serialization (Avro, JSON, Protobuf). - Knowledge of Kafka Connect and connectors. - Understanding of RBAC, ACLs, and Kafka security mechanisms (SSL/SASL). - Strong troubleshooting skills across application and platform layers. - Skilled in Kafka cluster administration, including configuration, monitoring, performance tuning, and high availability. - Experience in planning and executing Kafka version upgrades with minimal downtime and leading cloud migration initiatives. - Proficient in troubleshooting across application and infrastructure layers using tools like Dynatrace, Splunk, and Grafana. - Strong scripting and automation skills (Shell, Python) along with effective communication and stakeholder management abilities. Work Hours : - 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM IST, weekdays. What we need in candidate : - Looking for 7 years of relevant experience with Good to do attitude and ready to learn. Tech stack Requirements : - Strong experience with Confluent Kafka Platform. - Hands-on experience with Confluent Cloud. - Good understanding of Kafka architecture and internals. - Experience with Kafka version upgrades and patching. - Proven experience in migration from on-premises Kafka to Confluent Cloud. - Strong knowledge of RBAC and access control mechanisms in Kafka/Confluent. - Working knowledge of Kafka producers and consumers (developer-side). .
