Role & Responsibilities - Develop, implement, and monitor project-specific Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) plans in line with company policies and statutory requirements. - Ensure compliance with all applicable safety regulations, client HSE requirements, and industry standards during project execution. - Conduct Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA/JSA) for all project activities and ensure effective control measures are implemented. - Monitor high-risk activities including lifting operations, work at height, confined space entry, hot work, excavation, electrical works, and DG installation activities. - Administer and monitor the Permit to Work (PTW) system for critical activities. - Conduct daily site safety inspections, audits, and toolbox talks to promote a strong safety culture. - Ensure proper usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and enforce compliance among employees, contractors, and subcontractors. - Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions. - Coordinate emergency preparedness activities, including mock drills, evacuation procedures, and first aid readiness. - Review method statements, risk assessments, and lifting plans submitted by contractors before execution. - Monitor safe installation, testing, and commissioning of DG sets, fuel systems, electrical equipment, and associated MEP works. - Maintain statutory safety records, inspection reports, audit findings, and compliance documentation. - Coordinate with project managers, clients, consultants, contractors, and regulatory authorities on all HSE-related matters. - Conduct safety induction programs and continuous awareness sessions for site personnel. - Track and report safety KPIs, observations, non-conformities, and compliance status to project management. - Drive continuous improvement initiatives to achieve a zero-incident and zero-harm work workplace. Preferred candidate profile - Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or equivalent) with a Diploma/Degree in Industrial Safety or equivalent qualification. - 3 - 8 years of relevant HSE experience in Data Centre, EPC, MEP, Industrial, Power, or Infrastructure projects. - Hands-on experience in Diesel Generator (DG) installation, electrical systems, mechanical installation, and commissioning safety. - Sound knowledge of Permit to Work (PTW), HIRA/JSA, LOTO, incident investigation, and contractor safety management. - Good understanding of Indian statutory safety regulations, OSHA principles, National Building Code (NBC), Factories Act, Electricity Rules, and other applicable standards. - Experience managing safety for high-risk construction and commissioning activities. - Strong knowledge of fire protection systems, emergency response, and environmental management practices. - Ability to conduct safety audits, inspections, and compliance reviews independently. - Excellent communication, leadership, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills. - Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); knowledge of MS Project or Power BI will be an added advantage. - Willingness to travel and work at project sites across India. .
