We are looking for a smart QA Automation Engineer to build, enhance, and maintain our test automation infrastructure across Tarana's product lines. You will own feature test planning and execution, contribute to our automation framework, and apply AI/GenAI tooling to improve regression analysis. This role requires solid embedded telecom/networking knowledge along with strong test automation skills. Job Responsibilities: Contribute to the design, development, and enhancement of our existing Python-based automation framework. Create and maintain automation test suites for feature and regression testing across product lines. Own feature test planning, test case design, execution, and reporting for assigned areas. Build and maintain custom AI-driven "skills"/agents to automate repetitive QA workflows (e.g., log analysis, failure classification, test summarization). Create AI-powered tools to enhance QA productivity and efficiency across the test lifecycle. Debug test scripts to identify defects, then log and follow them through to resolution and verification. Own regression test areas and ensure product quality is maintained despite code churn. Participate in design reviews and roadmap discussions with Product Management, Development, and Solutions teams. Collaborate with and mentor junior QA engineers; review test plans/code written by peers. Ensure effective communication of test status and quality risks to stakeholders. Required Skills & Experience: Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science or a closely related discipline. 4-6 years of QA automation experience using Python on embedded telecom products, networking products, or microservices/cloud-based SaaS products. Hands-on experience applying AI/GenAI/LLM-based tools to testing workflows e.g., automated failure analysis, log/RCA summarization, or building custom AI agents/skills is required. Good understanding of Object-Oriented Design and experience with at least one Python test framework (pytest, unittest, nose). Exposure to networking fundamentals and protocols L2/L3/L4, switching, VLAN, TCP/IP, routing is a strong plus. Experience with UI automation tools (Selenium/Playwright) and API/backend testing (REST, JSON, XML). Familiarity with Jenkins/GitLab CI pipelines. Proficient with a version control system (git preferred). Experience in Unix/Linux environments and shell scripting. Exposure to networking test tools (IPerf, Xena, IXIA, Spirent, VIAVI JDSU) is a plus. Excellent debugging and analytical skills, with good understanding of QA processes and Agile methodologies. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully.
