About Position: The Embedded Device Engineer supports the TEMS Pocket and TEMS Sense product portfolio through development, device certification (TEMSification), and optimization of mobile devices for network testing. Role: Embedded Device Engineer (C++) Location: All Persistent Location Experience: 5 to 12 years Job Type: Full-Time Employment What You'll Do: This role directly supports revenue generation by enabling new device support and ensuring measurement accuracy across all supported mobile chipsets. Daily work includes Android service development, TEMSification of new smartphones, implementing chipset-specific features for MediaTek/Qualcomm/Samsung, C++ development for the TEMS Pocket application, and resolving customer-reported device measurement issues. C/C++ (embedded systems, USB communication, ALSA audio) Android OS internals (Magisk, bootloader unlock, root access, custom modules) Qualcomm QXDM, Samsung, MediaTek diagnostic tools Git, GitHub Actions CI/CD Python (scripting, test automation) Expertise You'll Bring: Perform device TEMSification pipeline bootloader unlock, Magisk patching, MAI creation, GLS licensing, testing. Validate and certify new mobile devices (Samsung, Xiaomi, OnePlus, Motorola, Zebra) for TEMS solutions. Develop and maintain On-Device Manager (ODM) modules in Java/Kotlin for Android. Implement mobile chipset-specific features MediaTek settings import/export, Qualcomm RAT lock, Samsung band lock. Analyze network signaling, protocol behavior, and RF performance across device families Support chipset integration log mask configuration, modem diagnostics, control functions. Develop C++ components for TEMS Pocket/Sense device integration (script converters, iPerf, HTTP testing). Investigate device-level issues impacting measurement accuracy (DTMF, NSA disconnect, PCAP capture). Maintain device qualification procedures and TEMSification testing tools. Ensure comprehensive chipset support across Qualcomm, Samsung, MediaTek, and Apple. Support customer escalations involving device measurements and network performance accuracy. Monitor emerging 3GPP standards and Android platform changes (Android 15/16/17 readiness).
