Role Open across 3 levels - Senior Manager / AVP/ VP - Finance Project Accountant Role Department - Finance Change & Transformation Company Name - M&G; Global Services - UK Based Investment & Asset Management MNC Location - Mumbai (Hybrid) - Candidates who apply need to relocate to Mumbai Job Description Job Purpose - The Life Cost & Financial Reporting (LC&FR;) programme is a multi-year transformation initiative designed to modernise and simplify the Life Finance operating model. The programme will deliver improvements to financial reporting processes, systems and controls, reducing reliance on manual processes and external contractors while strengthening the control environment. The programme supports the broader Life business strategy and Finance transformation agenda by enhancing the quality, timeliness and efficiency of reporting across IFRS and regulatory requirements. It will also improve integration between Finance, Actuarial and Systems functions, enabling scalable and sustainable support for business growth. Support delivery of LC&FR; by providing technical accounting expertise and execution support across financial reporting, process design and controls Accountabilities/Responsibilities - Support documentation and implementation of accounting policies and reporting processes - Produce and review technical accounting analysis and journal entries - Assist with process mapping, control design and testing - Work closely with systems teams to ensure accounting requirements are accurately reflected - Support testing activities, including UAT and parallel runs - Contribute to continuous improvement of reporting processes and controls - Insurance industry / background is good to have Key Stakeholder Management Internal - Reporting Analysis team - IFRS 17 Production team - Internal data suppliers; Finance Operation, Core actuarial team, etc. - Change team - Group Reporting team - Internal audit team - Finance technology team External - External auditors - External data suppliers e.g. third party system administration Knowledge, Skills, Experience & Educational Qualification - Qualified or part-qualified accountant - Experience in insurance or financial services accounting - Robust understanding of financial reporting processes and controls - High attention to detail and analytical capability - Ability to work in a global, matrix environment Educational Qualification: - Chartered accountant qualification (CA) or the equivalent (Not mandatory) If interested please share your resume on or apply through invite .
