Senior Software Engineer Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) Location: Hyderabad, India Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, deploy, and support enterprise integration solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This hands-on role focuses on building scalable APIs, event-driven microservices, and cloud-native applications while leveraging AI-powered development tools to improve engineering productivity and solution quality. The ideal candidate has strong experience with Node.js, TypeScript, Kafka, and GCP, and is comfortable adopting AI-assisted development tools and applying emerging AI technologies to business solutions. Candidates must work onsite 4 days per week in Hyderabad, during US EST time zone. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain enterprise integration services, REST APIs, and event-driven microservices using Node.js and TypeScript.Build scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions utilizing Kafka, Solo Enterprise Gateway, and Google Cloud Platform.Develop reusable components following enterprise architecture, coding standards, and security best practices.Lead production support and release deployments for enterprise integration applications, services, and APIsDrive incident resolution, root cause analysis, and long-term reliability improvementsPerform code reviews, write automated tests, troubleshoot production issues, and mentor junior engineers.Participate in architecture discussions and Agile ceremonies.Use AI-assisted development tools (Gemini, ChatGPT, Cursor, or similar) to improve coding, testing, documentation, and debugging.Evaluate and integrate AI capabilities into enterprise applications where appropriate.Leverage LLM APIs, prompt engineering, and AI services to improve business processes and developer productivity.Collaborate with architects, product owners, QA, and support teams to deliver reliable, high-quality solutions.Contribute to continuous improvement, engineering standards, and technical documentation, and operational best practicesStay current with emerging AI technologies and recommend practical adoption opportunities. Technical Skills Strong proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript.Experience with Kafka (Confluent preferred) and GCP (Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions, Firestore, Cloud Tasks).Experience with API Gateways (Gloo/Solo Enterprise preferred)Knowledge of REST APIs, event-driven architecture, microservices, Docker, Git, GitLab CI/CD, Terraform, ArgoCD, relational and NoSQL databases.Understanding of secure software development and API management.Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Gemini, Cursor, or similar.Familiarity with prompt engineering and integrating LLM APIs.Knowledge of Vertex AI, OpenAI APIs, LangChain, RAG, or AI agents is a plus.
