Engineering Manager Frontend Location: Delhi, India Experience: 8+ Years (1015 Years Preferred) Industry: FinTech / Lending / Banking / NBFC Employment Type: Full-Time Reports To: Senior Manager About the Role We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager Frontend to lead multiple engineering squads responsible for building scalable, secure, and high-performance customer-facing digital platforms. The ideal candidate combines strong frontend architecture expertise, modern web development practices, and proven people leadership capabilities. Key Responsibilities Define and execute frontend engineering strategy aligned with organizational goals. Drive frontend modernization initiatives and technology roadmaps. Own end-to-end delivery of frontend initiatives across multiple squads. Lead, mentor, and develop frontend engineering teams. Review and approve High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) documents. Ensure adoption of reusable component libraries and enterprise design systems. Drive frontend performance optimization, accessibility, security, and observabilitystandards. Lead incident management, root cause analysis, and post-incident reviews for criticalproduction issues. Partner with Product, Design, QA, Backend, Business, and Operations teams. Drive operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives. Required Technical Skills Angular (v15+), React.js, TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+) HTML5, CSS3, SCSS Frontend Architecture & System Design Design Systems & Component Libraries Micro Frontend Architecture State Management (NgRx, Redux) API Integration Patterns OAuth 2.0, JWT Authentication Web Performance Optimization AWS (Preferred), Azure, or GCP Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, GitHub Actions Grafana, Datadog, ELK StackLeadership Competencies Engineering Team Leadership Strategic Planning & Roadmap Ownership Delivery Governance & Program Management Stakeholder Management & Executive Communication Coaching, Mentorship & Talent Development Risk Management & Organizational ScalingRequired Qualifications Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline. 8+ years of frontend engineering experience. 25 years of people management experience leading engineering teams and drivingdelivery across multiple projects. Proven experience delivering large-scale FinTech, Banking, Payments, Lending, or NBFCplatforms. Strong expertise in Angular, React, and modern frontend architectures. Experience working within regulated financial environments.Preferred Qualifications Experience building customer-facing lending or banking applications. Exposure to RBI/NHB regulatory requirements. Experience leading frontend modernization or migration programs. Experience implementing enterprise design systems. MBA or Postgraduate degree is an advantage.Good to Have Experience with Micro Frontend Architecture Knowledge of Web Accessibility Standards (WCAG) Exposure to Progressive Web Applications (PWA) Experience with Server-Side Rendering (SSR) Knowledge of RBI Digital Lending Guidelines Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments .
