Project description The Cloud Infrastructure & Database Operations Engineer is an experienced multi-skilled professional with hands-on experience in supporting large enterprise cloud infrastructure, databases, and mission-critical production environments. The ideal candidate should have architectural skills to architect new solutions. The role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure high availability, service reliability, and continuous operational improvement. Responsibilities Provide production support for cloud infrastructure, databases, and enterprise applications, ensuring high availability, operational stability, and timely incident resolution. Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve infrastructure and database issues, perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and implement preventive measures to improve service reliability. Administer and maintain cloud and database environments, including backup & recovery, performance tuning, patching, capacity planning, and routine health checks. Support production deployments, change implementations, release validation, and planned maintenance activities while adhering to ITIL and change management processes. Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and business teams to resolve production issues, support operational activities, and ensure seamless service delivery. Drive continuous service improvement through automation, process optimization, documentation, and operational best practices. Communicate effectively with stakeholders, provide regular operational updates, and adapt to new technologies, tools, and cloud platforms as required. SKILLS Must have 812 years of experience supporting enterprise production environments. Expert-level experience in Snowflake, AWS RDS Good understanding of Cloud Infrastructure concepts and enterprise production support. Experience administering relational databases such as Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB Good knowledge of database backup & recovery, performance tuning, capacity planning and health monitoring, Large Migrations. Familiarity with Linux administration and basic scripting (Shell/Python/PowerShell) will be an advantage. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams and customers. Nice to have Exposure to cloud automation or DevOps practices. Experience with CI/CD pipelines. Understanding of High Availability and Disaster Recovery concepts. Exposure to Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CloudFormation/Ansible) is desirable. AWS or Cloud certifications will be an added advantage. .
