Job Summary We are looking for an experienced Assistant Manager Inventory & Procurement to manage inventory and purchase electrical and allied materials required for manufacturing operations. The candidate will ensure timely procurement, maintain optimum inventory levels, negotiate with suppliers, and support smooth business operations. Key Responsibilities Manage inventory to ensure material availability. Procure electrical and related materials as per business requirements. Identify, evaluate, and develop new suppliers. Float RFQs, compare quotations, negotiate prices, and finalize suppliers. Issue Purchase Orders (POs) and track deliveries. Ensure timely receipt of materials and resolve invoice or delivery issues. Maintain accurate inventory and purchase records in the ERP system. Drive cost-saving and lead-time reduction initiatives. Coordinate with Production, Engineering, Quality, Finance, and Suppliers. Monitor supplier performance and build strong supplier relationships. Prepare procurement and inventory reports. Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures. Required Skills Strong knowledge of procurement, inventory management, and logistics. Experience in purchasing electrical and allied components. Good negotiation and vendor management skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Good communication and coordination skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and ERP systems. Preferred Experience 710 years of procurement and inventory experience in a manufacturing company. Experience with ERP systems (preferably Epicor). Proven track record of vendor development, cost reduction, and supply chain management.
