About The Role We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Bookkeeper / Accountant with hands-on experience in Xero Accounting Software and exposure to Australian or international clients. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day bookkeeping, financial records, reconciliations, and supporting general administrative activities to ensure smooth business operations. Key Responsibilities Bookkeeping & Accounting - Manage day-to-day bookkeeping using Xero Accounting Software. - Process accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoices, bills, and expense claims. - Perform bank, credit card, and account reconciliations. - Maintain accurate financial records and ensure data integrity. - Prepare BAS/GST supporting reports (Australian clients) and assist with month-end and year-end processes. - Generate financial reports, cash flow reports, and management reports. - Coordinate with accountants, auditors, and external stakeholders as required. Administration & Coordination - Provide administrative support, including document management and record keeping. - Coordinate with internal teams and international clients regarding financial documentation. - Manage emails, schedules, and follow up on pending financial or administrative tasks. - Assist with general office administration and operational support. Required Skills - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field. - 27 years of experience in Bookkeeping or Accounting. - Mandatory: Hands-on experience with Xero Accounting Software. - Experience working with Australian or international clients is essential. - Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles, bank reconciliations, accounts payable/receivable, payroll support, and financial reporting. - Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office. - Robust communication skills with the ability to work independently in a remote or international work environment. - High attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities. Preferred Skills - Experience with Australian accounting practices, BAS/GST, and payroll processing. - Knowledge of cloud-based accounting systems and digital collaboration tools. - Experience supporting administrative and operational tasks alongside accounting responsibilities. - Ability to work with minimal supervision and maintain high levels of accuracy.
