Job Purpose To manage engineering procurement, contract administration, tendering, vendor management, and material procurement activities to ensure timely availability of quality materials and services while maintaining contractual compliance, cost effectiveness, and smooth execution of institutional infrastructure projects. Key Responsibilities 1. Prepare procurement plans based on project schedules and engineering requirements. 2. Float enquiries/RFQs, obtain quotations, and prepare comparative statements. 3. Coordinate with Engineering and User Departments for technical evaluation and vendor selection. 4. Negotiate commercial terms and finalize Purchase Orders (POs), Work Orders (WOs), and Service Contracts. 5. Draft, review, and administer contracts, agreements, amendments, and work orders. 6. Monitor supplier performance, delivery schedules, and contract compliance. 7. Coordinate with Stores, Finance, and Project Teams for material planning, receipt, and payment processing. 8. Maintain approved vendor database and conduct periodic vendor performance evaluations. 9. Prepare tender documents and assist in technical and commercial bid evaluations. 10. Maintain procurement records, contract registers, MIS reports, and ensure compliance with procurement policies and statutory requirements. Qualification B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Civil / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering. Experience 2 to 5 years in engineering procurement, contract management, tendering, and vendor management. Technical Skills - Procurement Planning - Tendering & RFQ Management - Vendor Evaluation & Negotiation - Contract Administration - Purchase Order & Work Order Management - MS Excel (Advanced) - ERP/Procurement Software - Knowledge of Engineering Drawings & Specifications Common Competencies - Strong communication and negotiation skills. - Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders and vendors. - Robust planning and organizational skills. - High standards of integrity, transparency, and professionalism. - Ability to work independently and meet project procurement timelines. - Willingness to travel between campus project sites, if required. .
