About The Role: As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for new sales, customer engagement activities. You will build relationships with our customers to identify future opportunities and successfully negotiate and close deals. You will highlight risks and opportunities to the business and shape the use of data-driven decision making. The Account Manager (South India) will be a key member of the South Asia team helping to drive growth for our Health business in the region. The major focus area will be New Business generation. Responsibilities Own and drive growth in our electronic sales business in South Region (Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana) via new customer acquisition for our portfolio of e-Sales products (e.g. ClinicalKey Physician, ClinicalKey AI, ClinicalKey Nursing, ClinicalKey Student, Amirsys, Complete Anatomy, Osmosis), across the academic (i.e. medical and nursing schools) and clinical (i.e. hospitals, clinics) market segmentsManaging entire sales process to position Elsevier Health Science Solutions with an emphasis on new business salesContribute to developing a strong regional marketing plan for Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana to drive thought leadership, brand awareness and product marketing, alongside the SA Marketing and Customer Engagement teamDevelop an in-depth understanding of market and competitor trends, evaluate their impact on our business and recommend actions where needed to address these market developmentsSupport the Regional Manager (SA) in strategizing, planning and executing for future business growth in the region, including exploring opportunities to extend into new market segments, channels and sub-regions.Demonstrate product value and drive usage within existing customer base to drive retention and uplift in our renewal business in Thailand, working both directly and through our authorized sales agent(s) as well as our Elsevier Customer Engagement, Customer Support and Product Sales teams Requirements: Minimum bachelors degree with strong academic track record5-8 years experience in a sales, channel management and/or business development roleStrong sales record selling solutions into medical & nursing education and/or hospital segments will be a plusExperience with managing agents/distributors and driving product usage among customers will be desirableFluency in English both written and spoken, with strong communication and presentation skillsAnalytical thinker with ability to effectively appraise market situation and identify and implement innovative approaches to match the market needsBe highly motivated with the capacity to work under pressure, with tight deadlines while maintaining high standards and able to multi-taskAnalytical thinker with ability to effectively appraise market situation and identify and implement innovative approaches to match the market needsBe highly motivated with the capacity to work under pressure, with tight deadlines while maintaining high standards and able to multi-task Work in a way that works for you We promote a healthy work/life balance across the organization.
