Senior Engineer - Fabrication/Strategic Sourcing will oversee and manage the fabrication processes and strategic sourcing activities to ensure efficient production and procurement operations. This role involves coordinating with suppliers, optimizing fabrication processes, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness in all sourcing activities. Roles and Responsibilities Fabrication Management Oversee fabrication processes, ensuring adherence to quality standards and production timelines.Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize fabrication techniques and resolve any issues.Monitor and analyze fabrication metrics to drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency. Strategic Sourcing Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies to procure materials and services cost-effectively.Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiating contracts and terms to secure favorable agreements.Manage supplier relationships, ensuring timely delivery, quality compliance, and cost control. Cost Management Conduct cost analysis and implement strategies to reduce production and procurement costs.Prepare and manage budgets related to fabrication and sourcing activities. Quality Assurance Ensure that all fabricated products meet specified quality standards and regulatory requirements.Implement and maintain quality control procedures to monitor and improve fabrication processes. Collaboration and Communication Work closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, production, and procurement to align objectives and address any operational issues.Provide regular updates to senior management on fabrication and sourcing performance, challenges, and opportunities. Documentation and Reporting Maintain accurate records of fabrication processes, sourcing activities, and supplier performance.Prepare reports and presentations for management review and decision-making.
