About the position The Office of the Vice President for Research at the University of Virginia is seeking a Compliance Analyst or Senior Compliance Analyst to join their team. A Compliance Analyst aids in executing compliance program components for the Institutional Review Board for the Social and Behavioral Sciences, including protocol and consent form review, record keeping, reporting, and evaluation. The position performs preliminary reviews of protocols, identifies potential concerns, reporting them to any supervisor, updates database, maintains files, and handles database issues as needed. This position is also in charge of aiding in preparing reports, presentations, and strategic materials for key review committees. Four years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Experience: At least two years of relevant experience. Senior Compliance Analyst (Compliance Professional 3): Education: Bachelor's degree. Four years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Experience: At least four years of relevant experience. Nice-to-haves Ability to evaluate and apply policies, provide technical advice and information, enter information and run reports, and interpret information and apply to daily work. Ability to work independently and complete tasks without immediate supervision as well as be a part of a team and provide direct support to leaders. Working knowledge of University policies, Federal & State regulations, and compliance program components, within the specific area of subject matter expertise. Excellent oral and written communication in daily interactions as well as the ability to clearly articulate complex ideas to a general audience. Experience conducting, providing support for, or assessing compliance of human subjects research.
