Review Medical Records: Analyze patients medical documents to ensure all information is accurate and complete for coding. - Assign Codes: Use appropriate coding systems such as ICD, CPT, and HCPCS to assign correct codes based on the patients' conditions and treatment. - Ensure Compliance: Follow legal and regulatory guidelines to maintain coding accuracy and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations. - Collaborate with Healthcare Professionals: Work closely with doctors and other healthcare workers to clarify any discrepancies in documentation and coding. - Maintain Patient Confidentiality:** Protect patient information by adhering to privacy laws and policies in all coding practices.
