UI/UX Designer Healthcare Web Applications Location: Bangalore, India Work Arrangement: 100% On-Site Shift: Night Shift aligned with U.S. business hours Employment Type: Full-Time Experience: 1-3+ years Position Overview We are seeking a creative, analytical, and independent UI/UX Designer to design intuitive web applications for the healthcare industry. You will collaborate closely with product managers, software engineers, healthcare operations teams, and other stakeholders to understand user needs and translate business requirements into clear, efficient, and visually appealing product experiences. The role covers the complete UI/UX process, including user research, journey mapping, process flows, wireframing, usability testing, visual design, interactive prototyping, developer handoff, and design documentation. This position is best suited for a designer who can take ownership of assignments, work through unclear requirements, communicate design decisions confidently, integrate feedback professionally, and deliver without constant supervision. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with product managers, engineers, healthcare operations teams, and other stakeholders to understand product requirements, technical constraints, workflows, and user needs. Conduct user research through interviews, workflow reviews, stakeholder discussions, surveys, observation, or other appropriate research methods. Translate research findings and business requirements into user journeys, storyboards, personas, process flows, site maps, and information architecture. Create low-fidelity wireframes to explore workflows and validate concepts before moving into detailed visual design. Design intuitive and visually appealing interfaces for healthcare web applications. Develop interactive UI mockups and prototypes that demonstrate the expected functionality and user experience. Plan and conduct usability testing with relevant users, document findings, and incorporate validated improvements into the design. Design key interface elements, including dashboards, forms, tables, navigation, alerts, scheduling workflows, data-entry screens, and reporting interfaces. Create original graphics, icons, illustrations, and other visual assets that improve the interface and user experience. Follow the companys existing design system and contribute new reusable components and patterns when necessary. Maintain consistency in typography, spacing, visual hierarchy, colors, components, and interaction patterns. Use Figma, Penpot, or similar tools for wireframing, interface design, prototyping, collaboration, and developer handoff. Use AI-assisted tools to accelerate wireframing, design exploration, research synthesis, content development, and documentation. Prepare detailed design specifications, annotations, component states, assets, and interaction documentation for engineering teams. Review completed development work and identify differences between approved designs and implemented interfaces. Work with engineers to resolve design issues while considering technical feasibility, development effort, and deadlines. Present design concepts and explain decisions using user needs, research findings, business requirements, and usability principles. Receive and integrate feedback from product managers, engineers, users, and leadership without losing sight of the product objective. Maintain organized design files, prototypes, research findings, versions, and supporting documentation. Manage multiple assignments, changing priorities, feedback cycles, and deadlines independently. Required Qualifications 13+ years of professional experience in UI/UX design, product design, interaction design, or a closely related position. A strong portfolio demonstrating web-application design projects. Portfolio examples must include several stages of the design process, such as research, user flows, wireframes, mockups, prototypes, testing, and final interfaces. Strong working knowledge of Figma, Penpot, or similar UI/UX design and prototyping tools. Experience conducting or supporting user research and usability testing. Ability to translate complex requirements and workflows into clear, efficient, and intuitive interfaces. Understanding of user-centered design, interaction design, information architecture, responsive design, and usability principles.
