As a Senior UX Writer / Content Designer, you will set up, drive, and own the vision for product language across JioHotstar's consumer and enterprise platforms. You will shape communication across user journeys, craft copy systems that scale, and ensure every word delivers clarity, consistency, and brand personality. Beyond writing, you will define and evolve systemic frameworks: from voice and tone guidelines to terminology libraries and partner with cross-functional teams to make language a strategic lever for product and brand. Your work will ensure that JioHotstar feels world-class: clean, legible, intuitive, and human across mobile, TV, web, and enterprise experiences. Design is one of the key teams at JioHotstar. We have 4 key areas of focus - Product Design, UX Research, Design Standards and Creative Studio. We are a closely-knit team of 30+ people at the moment, who work across the spectrum of design from deriving insight from data, designing interfaces and prototypes, and testing with users to motion graphics and illustrations Set up and own the vision for UX writing across all aspects of the product shaping how users experience and understand JioHotstar Collaborate with design peers and stakeholders to craft in-app content and product messaging that is flawless, uniform, and concise Develop and refine writing systems style guides, terminology, word lists, and strategy principles; Champion user-centric content by applying structured, creative, and critical thinking to see from the user's perspective and incorporate feedback Lead and mentor peers in content design, setting standards for consistency, quality, and scalability Leverage AI and content tools thoughtfully to scale copy workflows, accelerate exploration, and ensure efficiency without compromising craft Strong writing fundamentals mastery of brevity, clarity, tone, and storytelling, with the ability to adapt voice across diverse surfaces and contexts Systems thinker experience building or contributing to scalable content frameworks (voice and tone, terminology, reusable patterns, error/notification libraries) User-first mindset ability to empathize with user needs, translate feedback into copy decisions, and champion accessibility and inclusivity in language Strategic collaborator proven ability to influence and align with cross-functional teams (design, product, engineering, brand, marketing) at multiple levels able to mentor peers, guide teams, and build org-wide confidence in language systems Adaptability with tools comfort working in Figma and content ops workflows; familiarity with AI-assisted writing and automation tools to scale exploration and delivery PREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:58 years of professional experience in UX writing, content design, or related fields, with a portfolio that demonstrates clarity, craft, storytelling, and strategic impact in digital products.
