Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Doctor of Medicine role based at Sahyadri Multispeciality Hospital in Sonpeth. The doctor will provide direct patient care, including history taking, physical examinations, diagnosis, and management of medical conditions in inpatient and outpatient settings. Daily responsibilities include prescribing appropriate investigations and treatments, monitoring patient progress, updating medical records, and coordinating with specialists for referrals and multidisciplinary case management. The role involves participation in ward rounds, emergency coverage as required, and adherence to hospital protocols, clinical guidelines, and infection control practices. The doctor will communicate clearly with patients and families, contribute to discharge planning, support quality improvement initiatives, and engage in ongoing clinical education and case discussions with colleagues. Qualifications Recognized MBBS degree and Doctor of Medicine (MD) or equivalent postgraduate qualification in a relevant specialty; valid medical registration with the appropriate council.Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills, including thorough history taking, physical examination, and interpretation of laboratory and imaging results.Proficiency in treatment planning and patient management, including prescribing medications, performing routine procedures, and managing acute and chronic conditions.Ability to work effectively in emergency and high-pressure situations, including triage, stabilization, and coordination of care with emergency and critical care teams.Clear, empathetic communication skills for interactions with patients, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams; strong documentation skills and familiarity with medical records systems.Commitment to ethical practice, patient safety, infection control, and adherence to clinical guidelines and hospital policies.Collaborative mindset and ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team, including nurses, technicians, and administrative staff.Willingness to participate in continuing medical education, case presentations, and quality improvement or audit activities.Prior experience in a multispeciality or tertiary care hospital setting is an advantage; local language proficiency is beneficial for patient communication. .
