Quality Assurance / Construction Engineer Position: Quality Assurance / Construction Engineer Location: Bangalore Industry: Real Estate / Construction Key Responsibilities 1. Drawing and Plan Verification - Review and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) drawings and plans. - Ensure ongoing construction activities are executed in strict accordance with the approved drawings and specifications. - Identify and resolve discrepancies between site execution and design documents, and ensure appropriate corrective measures are taken. 1. Quality Issue Root Cause Analysis: - Investigate quality-related issues to identify root causes and recurring problems in construction processes, materials, or workmanship. - Coordinate with relevant departments (engineering, procurement, site execution) to implement effective corrective and preventive actions. - Monitor the effectiveness of corrective measures and ensure long-term resolution of issues. 1. Design and Documentation Review - Participate in design reviews to ensure that quality requirements are considered in the early phases of the project. - Analyze technical drawings, specifications, and other project documentation to ensure compliance with industry codes and standards. - Provide input on constructability, material selection, and compliance with quality standards. 1. Inspection and Quality Testing - Coordinate and perform inspections of incoming raw materials and completed construction works. - Apply established quality assurance models (e.G., ISO, Six Sigma, or project-specific QA/QC plans) to validate compliance with project specifications and standards. - Maintain thorough records of inspection results, test reports, non-conformance reports, and corrective actions. Required Qualifications - Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or Mechanical - 38 years of experience in quality assurance/quality control within residential or commercial construction projects. - Experience in real estate or high-rise building projects will be preferred. - Knowledge of IS Codes, QA/QC procedures, construction methodologies, and building standards. - Familiarity with concrete testing, finishing quality checks, waterproofing inspections, and structural quality control. - Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and construction documentation. - Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills. - Good communication and coordination abilities. Preferred Skills - Solid understanding of QA/QC documentation and inspection processes. - Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications. - Knowledge of quality management systems and construction best practices. - Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality projects. - Ability to work independently and manage multiple site activities.
