Job Title: Lead Analyst - Lead Data Scientist with AI/ML & GenAI Job Position: Lead Analyst - Lead Data Scientist with AI/ML & GenAI Experience: 8 -12 Years Category: Software Development/ Engineering Shift: 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM IST Main location: India, Telangana, Hyderabad Position ID: J0726-0078 Employment Type: Full Time Your future duties and responsibilities Job Overview: CGI is looking for a talented and motivated Data Scientist with strong expertise in Gen AI to build and manage scalable, efficient, and reliable data pipelines and infrastructure. Youll play a key role in transforming raw data into actionable insights, working closely with data scientists, analysts, and business teams. Your future duties and responsibilities - 8-12 years of AI/ data science experience (or an advanced degree in a related field) - Strong programming skills in Python with proficiency in libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, gradient-boosted decision trees, and neural networks - Deep knowledge of statistical analysis, hypothesis testing, and data-driven decision-making. - Proven experience building, training, and validating ML models, including regression, classification, time series forecasting, and recommendation systems - Experience integrating ML models/AI/Gen AI solutions into production systems. - Solid experience with Data Manipulation, Data Wrangling, including data ingestion and preparation, feature engineering, analysis and modeling, model deployment, performance tracking and documentation Required qualifications to be successful in this role - Familiarity with large datasets, distributed computing tools (e.g., Spark, Hadoop), and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, matplotlib, seaborn). - Experience building RAG based systems , AI agents, LLM-driven systems, or autonomous workflows. Knowledge of chunking strategies - Generative and Agentic AI Frameworks like Langchain, Langgraph/CrewAI etc - A systems-thinking mindset that connects AI models, data pipelines, and operational workflows end-to-end. - Evaluation frameworks (offline + online) - Experience with hallucination mitigation, guardrails, fallback strategies - Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to present complex data analysis, insights, and recommendations to senior leadership Desired Skills - Strong communication skills with the ability to influence senior engineers and product leaders. - Knowledge of OpenAI embedding models; Cohere, Voyage AI, etc - Experience with Knowledge Graps, GraphRAG - Strong understanding of AI-assisted development tooling and productivity optimization. - Experience designing multi-step reasoning workflows and autonomous decision agents. - Expertise with experimentation frameworks (A/B testing, causal inference) and strategic analysis About CGI : CGI is an equal opportunity employer.
