Job Title: QA Automation / Software Test Engineer Company: Fugen Webtech Location: Vijayawada Job Type: Full-time, WFO About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented QA Automation / Software Test Engineer to join our Quality Assurance team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and executing comprehensive test strategies, building automated test suites, and ensuring high-quality software releases across web, mobile, and backend systems. Key Responsibilities Design, implement, and maintain scalable automated test frameworks for web, mobile, and API applications. Create, execute, and maintain detailed test plans, test suites, and test cases (functional, regression, smoke, and edge-case testing). Integrate automated test pipelines into CI/CD workflows for rapid and continuous delivery. Perform API testing and database verifications to ensure end-to-end data integrity. Log, track, and manage software defects, collaborating closely with developers and product teams to ensure timely resolution. Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, helping refine acceptance criteria and user stories. Technical Qualifications Automation Engineering Frameworks: Hands-on experience with frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or Appium (mobile). Programming Languages: Proficiency in at least one language: Python, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, or C#. API Testing: Expertise in testing RESTful and SOAP APIs using tools like Postman, RestAssured, or Insomnia. CI/CD Pipelines: Experience integrating automated test suites into CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps). Manual & Functional Testing Test Design: Mastery in designing and executing clear test plans, regression suites, boundary testing, and exploratory test cases. Defect Management: Proven experience tracking bugs and managing issues using Jira, TestRail, or ClickUp. Database / SQL Skills: Ability to write SQL queries to verify backend data integrity and seed test data. Cross-Browser / Platform: Experience verifying functionality across major browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) and operating systems. Methodologies & Soft Skills Agile/Scrum: Solid understanding of Agile processes, story refinement, and acceptance criteria. Problem-Solving: Sharp attention to detail with an emphasis on root-cause analysis rather than surface-level bug reporting. Communication: Ability to articulate technical bugs and quality risks clearly to developers, product managers, and executive stakeholders. Preferred / Bonus Skills (Nice-to-Haves) Performance Testing: Experience with load/stress testing using JMeter, k6, or Gatling. Security Testing: Understanding of OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities and basic security testing practices.
