We're Hiring: Senior Data Engineer Location: Chennai / Pune / Bangalore / Hyderabad Experience: 7+ Years Shift: (2:00 PM 11:00 PM) Work Mode: Work From Home (WFO) About the Role: We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our growing data engineering team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Engineering technologies, Fivetran, and Databricks, with hands-on experience building scalable data pipelines and optimizing enterprise data platforms. Key Responsibilities: Implement data ingestion, transformation, and optimization into Microsoft Fabric Lakehouse environments. Configure, manage, and optimize Fivetran connectors (Oracle, SQL Database, etc.). Handle large-volume data ingestion and backfill operations. Develop and maintain Bronze to Silver transformation pipelines. Implement incremental loading and Change Data Capture (CDC) logic. Optimize Lakehouse storage patterns and overall performance. Implement monitoring for record counts, load duration, and failure tracking. Support deployment and promotion across Development, Testing, and Production environments. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and reliable data solutions. Required Skills: -7+ years of experience in Data Engineering. -Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, or Azure Data Factory. -Strong experience with Fivetran or similar ELT tools. -Experience handling high-volume datasets (hundreds of millions of records). -Strong proficiency in SQL and Python. -Good understanding of Data Modeling concepts. -Hands-on experience with Medallion Architecture. -Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric and Databricks. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.
Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.
Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.
