As part of our strategic expansion, we have launched a new insurance and financial protection vertical, focused on helping families secure their long-term financial goals and protect their children's future. Role Overview We are looking for an experienced Senior Term Life Advisor who has spent at least four years selling and advising on term life insurance, and who can operate independently from day one. This is a hands-on advisory role, not a generalist sales role. You will own consultations end-to-end with high-intent customers from GrayQuest's education ecosystem understanding their financial responsibilities, quantifying protection needs, and recommending the most suitable term life plan from a multi-insurer panel. Because of the seniority of this role, we expect deep product fluency: underwriting logic, medicals, income and financial eligibility, rider structures, claim settlement realities, and how leading insurers differ from one another. You will also act as a benchmark for quality within the advisory team your calls, objection handling, and closure discipline will set the standard others learn from. This role suits someone who has built a track record in consultative, needs-based term life selling and now wants ownership, a high-quality customer base, and a seat in a fast-growing insurance vertical being built from the ground up. Key Responsibilities - Conduct in-depth consultations with customers to assess financial responsibilities, dependents, liabilities, income profile, and long-term family goals - Quantify the right level of protection using structured need-analysis, and recommend suitable term life plans from our multi-insurer panel based on customer fit not product push - Lead conversations around education planning, rising education costs, inflation, and long-term financial protection with credibility and depth - Handle complex cases independently: high sum assured, non-standard income profiles, self-employed customers, medical or financial underwriting complications, and existing-cover reviews - Own the case end-to-end from first consultation through application, medicals, underwriting follow-up, and policy issuance coordinating with insurer teams where required - Manage objections and comparison conversations with confidence, using accurate product, CSR, and regulatory knowledge - Consistently deliver against monthly advisory and conversion targets in a performance-driven environment - Maintain detailed, accurate records of consultations, customer insights, and outcomes in the CRM - Support the quality bar of the team share best practices, contribute to playbooks and objection-handling material, and mentor junior advisors where needed - Give structured feedback to product and ops teams on customer patterns, drop-off reasons, and process friction - Stay current on IRDAI regulations, insurer product changes, underwriting norms, and taxation as it applies to life insurance Requirements - Minimum 4 years of experience in term life insurance advisory or sales mandatory. - Experience limited to general insurance, health-only, motor, or ULIP / savings-led selling will not be considered a substitute - Demonstrated track record in consultative, needs-based advisory selling with measurable conversion and persistency outcomes - Strong working knowledge of term life products across multiple insurers features, riders, underwriting norms, medical and financial underwriting processes, and claim settlement practices - Excellent spoken communication skills in both English and Hindi (mandatory) - Ability to simplify complex financial concepts and build trust quickly with discerning customers - Sound judgement and integrity recommending what genuinely fits the customer, even when it is the harder conversation - Comfortable with CRM discipline, structured reporting, and data-backed follow-up cadences - Self-driven, accountable, and comfortable operating in a .
