Saint Bernard School is seeking a passionate and dedicated Music Teacher/Director to lead and grow a dynamic music program for students in grades 612. The ideal candidate will inspire students through performance, collaboration, and a love of music, while supporting the schools mission and community. Responsibilities Teach music classes to students in grades 6 through 12Direct and conduct the following ensembles:Concert ChoirMiddle School ChoirPraise ChoirSymphonic BandMiddle School Concert BandPlan and produce two major music department concerts annually (Christmas and Spring)Coordinate and select music for all school Masses and liturgical celebrationsPrepare and support students for participation in the annual Connecticut Music Educators Association (CMEA) adjudication and concert festivalsFoster a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom and rehearsal environment Qualifications Teaching certification requiredPrior teaching and/or directing experience preferredStrong organizational, communication, and leadership skills Ability to work collaboratively within a school community.
