About the Role The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for driving SME secured lending (LAP) business across assigned locations by leading a direct sales team, sourcing through connectors and self-channels, and ensuring achievement of business, profitability, and service metrics. The role focuses on market expansion, customer acquisition, and end-to-end sales execution while maintaining strong internal and external stakeholder relationships. Reporting To: Zonal Sales Manager/DST Head Location: [City/Region] Qualifications & Experience - Graduate in any discipline; MBA preferred. 13+ years of experience in Banking, Financial Services, or Insurance with strong exposure to SME secured lending.Proven experience in handling regional sales teams and achieving business targets. Key Responsibilities - Sales & Business Development Manage and lead a direct sales team for sourcing LAP business through connector channels.Drive achievement of login, sanction, and disbursement targets at individual and regional levels.Acquire new SME customers through direct sourcing and self-generated leads.Ensure profitability and business growth across assigned locations.Market Expansion & Marketing ActivitiesExecute marketing initiatives in SME clusters such as canopy activities, loan fairs, exhibitions, and micro-marketing campaigns.Develop deep understanding of local SME markets and customer profiles.Relationship & Portfolio ManagementMaintain and strengthen relationships with existing customers.Identify new business opportunities within the existing portfolio.Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.Process & Stakeholder CoordinationTrack files end-to-end from login to disbursement and ensure timely collection of PDDs.Liaison with internal teams including Credit, Operations, Collections, and Technical for case clearance and quick turnaround.Ensure adherence to policies, processes, and compliance requirements.P&L Ownership: Overall ownership of branch/region P&L, ensuring profitability through balanced growth, optimal yield, cost efficiency, and portfolio quality.People Management & Talent Stability: Ownership of hiring, team productivity, performance monitoring, and ensuring controlled attrition through engagement, development, and training.Customer Satisfaction & NPS: Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through superior service quality and timely resolution of issues, with accountability for achieving targeted Net Promoter Score (NPS) for the branch/region.Portfolio Quality & Risk Management: End-to-end responsibility for portfolio health, including monitoring delinquencies, controlling NPAs, ensuring strong credit quality, and preventing fraud.Governance, Audit & Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to company policies and regulatory guidelines; own audit readiness and timely closure of internal/external audit observations.Market Growth & Business Sustainability: Drive sustainable business growth through market expansion, channel development, strengthening local ecosystem relationships, and improving market share.
