We are hiring an Oracle Cloud Network Engineer to own the networking and firewall layer across our OCI managed services accounts. You will be the escalation point for connectivity, firewall, and network performance issues the person the team comes to when a tunnel drops or traffic won't route. Role & responsibilities Configure and manage network security across OCI: VCNs, subnets, route tables, security lists, NSGs, service gateways, and load balancers Administer FortiGate firewalls and FortiManager policy changes, NAT rules, IPSec site-to-site tunnels, SSL VPN Handle day-to-day access requests: port openings, IP and subnet whitelisting, RDP/SSH/ICMP access between on-prem and cloud segments, with proper change control Troubleshoot connectivity and performance issues across hybrid environments packet loss, latency, DNS resolution failures, routing between on-prem DC and OCI, DR tunnel instability Support landing zone and VCN design for new client environments, including CIDR planning and hub-and-spoke topologies Work within an SLA-driven ticketing process (Jira Service Management), documenting resolutions and building runbooks so routine changes become repeatable Partner with OCI infrastructure, database, and SOC teams on migrations and new deployments Preferred candidate profile 4-6 years in cloud or network engineering, with at least 2 years hands-on with firewalls, cloud networking in specific Strong practical knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, NAT, DNS, and VPN technologies you can read a packet capture and reason about a path end to end Hands-on FortiGate experience; FortiManager exposure is a strong plus Working experience with a major cloud platform's networking stack. OCI is preferred; solid AWS VPC or Azure VNet experience is acceptable and we will support your OCI ramp-up and certification Experience in a managed services, MSP, or enterprise support environment with ticket-based delivery and SLAs Clear written English you will be communicating directly with client IT teams Good to have Fortinet NSE 4 / NSE 5 / NSE 7, CCNA or CCNP (Enterprise or Security) OCI Architect Associate or Professional certification Exposure to Zero Trust architectures, VAPT remediation, or SOC collaboration .

If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.
Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully.
