Role Description The US Taxation Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Gandhinagar. The specialist will prepare and review US individual and business tax returns, ensure compliance with federal and state tax regulations, and assist with tax planning for a diverse client base. Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing financial statements, maintaining accurate tax workpapers, researching complex tax issues, and documenting conclusions in a clear and organized manner. The role involves collaborating with the accounting and advisory teams, responding to client queries, supporting tax notices and audits, and contributing to process improvements. The specialist is expected to stay current with US tax law changes and apply updated guidance in client engagements. Qualifications Strong knowledge of US individual and business taxation, including federal and relevant state tax laws, forms, and compliance requirements.Experience in tax preparation, review of tax returns, and preparation of supporting workpapers for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and nonprofits.Proficiency in accounting principles, financial statement analysis, and reconciliation of accounts related to tax filings.Familiarity with tax and accounting software (e.g., US tax preparation platforms, QuickBooks) and solid Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.Ability to conduct tax research using authoritative sources, interpret regulations, and provide clear, practical recommendations.Excellent written and verbal communication skills for client interaction, documentation, and internal collaboration.Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines during peak tax seasons.Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA, EA, or progress toward a professional certification is preferred.Prior experience in a public accounting or tax advisory firm working with US tax clients is highly beneficial.Commitment to ethical practice, client confidentiality, and continuous learning in evolving US tax regulations. .
