Summery of the Role To support the Dresden Subsidy Team, we are seeking a Principal Financial Analyst based in Sofia/Bulgaria. This role is an integral part of our international Finance organization, providing analytical and operational support for public funded projects. The position focuses on supporting the Dresden-based team in all activities with a strong focus on data preparation, reporting, and financial analysis. You will collaborate closely with the Dresden Team and other cross-functional departments in multiple regions. Key Responsibilities Continuous monitoring of public funded projects with regard to deviations from plan, compliance with funding decisions, and applicable legal frameworks Preparation, processing, and validation of financial and project-related data for subsidy management Responsibility for data preparation for cash requests of funding projects through structured data collection and analysis Execution of accounting tasks related to monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for funded projects Preparation of internal close reporting and analyses for the Dresden Subsidies Team Support in the preparation of audit documentation and internal controls Contribution to continuous improvement of reporting processes and data structures Close collaboration with the Dresden team and other cross-functional departments Required Qualifications Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a comparable field Experience in finance, accounting, controlling, or data analysis Strong analytical mindset and high attention to detail Fluent German (written and spoken) is required; strong English communication skills are also expected Ability to work independently while being closely aligned with an international team Broad experience with MS Office applications, especially Excel Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced, global environment Effective interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate constructively across teams and regions We Offer Attractive compensation package with competitive salary, performance related bonus plan and a global recognition program.
